During the Dutch Neuroscience Meeting, Kim Wolzak, PhD student in Wiep Scheper’s research group, received the Top Paper Award 2023 from the Neurofederation.
The award was given for her work on the molecular pathways that enable neurons to resist disruption of protein homeostasis. The committee praised the article, which appeared in EMBO Journal, for revealing new molecular pathways that are also highly relevant for developing a treatment for neurodegenerative disease.
