Klaus Linkenkaer-Hansen co-founder and CSO of NBT Analytics BV (http://www.nbt-analytics.com/) and team leader of the “Neuronal Oscillations and Cognition” group at CNCR. His main interest is to understand spontaneous fluctuations in brain activity, cognition and behavior. What is the cause, character and functional implications of variability observed at these levels of brain function? His research has shown that the complex temporal structure of ongoing oscillations is rich in information about the functional state and structure of the underlying neuronal networks. Based on these insights, novel methods to understand brain disorders have been developed.
