To raise awareness about rare diseases the Orphan Disease Center organised a social media challenge. The video made by our STXBP1 team was one of the winners of the challenge!
This February, the Orphan Disease Center challenged researchers to share about the rare disease they are working on through a social media post. The three most creative and popular posts were selected as winners on February 28th, Rare Disease Day 2022. The STXBP1 team of our lab contributed with a video about the daily ongoings in the lab. It shows several of the techniques we use to study STXBP1 Syndrome, ranging from growing neurons in a dish to RNA research.

Afgelopen februari daagde de Orphan Disease Center wetenschappers uit om hun onderzoek naar zeldzame ziekten te delen op social media. De drie meest creatieve en populaire social media posts werden als winnaars geselecteerd op 28 februari, Zeldzame Ziekten Dag 2022 (‘Rare Disease Day 2022).
Het STXBP1 team van ons lab heeft bijgedragen aan deze wedstrijd met een video over de dagelijkse bezigheden in het lab. Het laat verschillende technieken zien die we gebruiken om STXBP1 syndroom te onderzoeken, van het groeien van neuronen in een schaaltje tot RNA onderzoek.
