Rewarded for the Science Translational Medicine paper (Riga et al 2017) on the role of ECM in cognitive deficits in a rat depression model
Danai Riga, post-doc in the lab of Sabine Spijker, received this price for the paper she and her co-authors published in December 2017 in Science Translational Medicine. Danai gave an excellent talk, explaining the results found over the course of several years the project lasted.
Of note is that this is the 3rd time a lab member of the Spijker team received this prize (2009, Michel van den Oever; 2011 Danielle Counotte & Natalia Goriounova).
