I am a project manager with 10+ years of experience in product development, research innovation and project management. I ensure several large collaboration projects in the field of neurogenomics and neurobiology are properly managed and coordinated. These include the NWO-funded gravitation project BRAINSCAPES and EU-funded ERC project GWAS2FUNC. As I also have a strong background in molecular biology, genomics and bioinformatics, I feel much connected with the content of the projects I am managing.
In my role, I am proud to serve as binding factor within interdisciplinary consortia, and work using robust management structure. Also, I am enthusiastic about creating (and nurturing) valuable relationships both within and beyond the VU), and to support with data stewardship tasks.
Finally I conduct research on the microbiome. My main goal is to improve advance our understanding of the gut-brain axis by integrating different disciplines and expertises. My own expertise lies particularly in the computational analysis.
