Research

I started my journey with a bachelor’s in applied mathematics, later moving into Biostatistics to connect quantitative methods with biological questions. During my master’s thesis at the Institute for Genetic and Biomedical Research (IRGB-CNR), I developed a strong interest in statistical genetics and causal inference, exploring how the gut microbiome influences aging-related traits.

I am now a PhD student in the Complex Trait Genetics Lab at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where I aim to further deepen my knowledge in statistical genetics and contribute to the study of brain-related traits.
