Research
In October 2023 I started my PhD at the INF under the supervision of Christiaan de Kock. Using a multi-modal approach based on electrophysiology, morphology, and transcriptomics we aim to characterize human cortical cellular diversity and specialization.
I did my Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences and my Master’s in Neurosciences both at the VU in Amsterdam. My first Master’s internship focused on the characterization of human neurons in deep layers of the cortex based on electrophysiology and morphology. The second internship aimed to unravel the role of α-synuclein in the intrinsic apoptosis pathway in a Parkinson’s disease cellular mouse model using protein analysis.
