MSc in Biology, Utrecht University, 1993.
PhD in Developmental Biology, Hubrecht Laboratory/Utrecht University, 1997. Thesis: ‘Signal transduction by the PTH/PTHrP receptor; its role in parietal endoderm differentiation’.

Positions
1998-1999 Post-doc at the Hubrecht Laboratory/Utrecht University and Netherlands Cancer Institute.
Research: Regulation and function of Rap-guanine exchange factors.

2000-2003 Post-doc at the Molecular Neurobiology Laboratory (prof. dr. Greg Lemke), the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, La Jolla, USA
Research: Moleculaire regulaton of Schwann-cell differentiation.

2004-present Assistant Professor, Department Molecular and Cellular Neurobiology, VU University Amsterdam.
